The Personal Assistant supports assisted living and memory care residents at Barclay House of Oakleaf Village. The role provides companionship, supportive listening, assistance with activities of daily living, and support with resident engagement and care. The position is listed as 2nd shift, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., and requires flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays. Requirements

A caring heart and willingness to serve others.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must be flexible and prepared to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred, but is not required unless required by the state.
CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
Experience working with older adults is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide companionship and supportive listening to assisted living and memory care residents.
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
Report changes in residents’ health and status and complete daily data sheets to record progress.
Assist residents with memory and performance improvement programs.
Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
Assist with dining as needed or as directed by the leadership team.
Assist with activities to keep residents engaged and happy.
