About The Position
UCP Heartland is seeking compassionate and committed PERSONAL ASSISTANTS (Direct Care Providers) for FULL-TIME shifts. UCP Heartland offers a positive, team-driven, work environment at $21.00/Hour. This is a set 20-hour weekly schedule with shifts on Friday from 1 PM to 9 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 9 PM. As a PERSONAL ASSISTANT/DSP (Direct Care Provider), you will perform various responsibilities to support individuals living with disabilities. Requirements
- High School diploma or its equivalent (GED).
- Valid Driver's license
- Clean Driving Record and successfully completes and maintains assigned drivers training
- A MINIMUM OF ONE WEEKEND SHIFT PER WEEKEND
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or in a customer service field
- Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to consistently work in a professional, cooperative manner with all Agency clients and personnel.
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Computer Proficiency
- Reliable transportation
- 5-7 days of mandatory training at our corporate office Monday through Friday 8:45 AM - 4:15 PM (UCP Heartland will pay you for the mandatory training).

Responsibilities
- Provide physical assistance with daily tasks, assist with personal hygiene and facilitate fun activities.
- Follow medical orders and administer medications.
- Assist with ADL's, Lift and Transfer (includes ceiling lifts, repositioning in wheelchair, etc), Adaptive Transportation.
- Shift documentation using Set-Works and general housekeeping.
- Interact with family often.
- Provide choices to the clients for their daily activities to provide entertainment and community outings.
