About The Position

UCP Heartland is seeking compassionate and committed PERSONAL ASSISTANTS (Direct Care Providers) for FULL-TIME shifts. UCP Heartland offers a positive, team-driven, work environment at $20.00/Hour. As a PERSONAL ASSISTANT/DSP (Direct Care Provider), you will perform the following responsibilities: Provide physical assistance with daily tasks, assist with personal hygiene and facilitate fun activities. Follow medical orders and administer medications. Assist with ADL's, Lift and Transfer (includes ceiling lifts, repositioning in wheelchair, etc), Adaptive Transportation. Shift documentation using Set-Works and general housekeeping. Will interact with family often. Please have a fun, outgoing and positive personality. Most importantly, provide choices to the clients for their daily activities to provide entertainment and community outings. Requirements

  • High School diploma or its equivalent (GED).
  • Valid Drivers’ license
  • Clean Driving Record and successfully completes and maintains assigned drivers training
  • A MINIMUM OF ONE WEEKEND SHIFT PER WEEKEND
  • Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or in a customer service field
  • Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to consistently work in a professional, cooperative manner with all Agency clients and personnel.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Computer Proficiency
  • Reliable transportation
  • 5-7 days of mandatory training at our corporate office Monday through Friday 8:45 AM - 4:15 PM
