About The Position

AKHIRE is currently recruiting for the position of Personal Assistant / Caregiver. This role involves assisting an individual with daily living and care skills, including self-care, meal preparation, and transportation. The caregiver will also help the individual access various activities such as dining out, going to the movies, and shopping. A compassionate and understanding approach is essential, along with maintaining positive and effective communication with other staff members.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED/equivalent
• Minimum age - 18 yrs.
• Ability to pass State of Alaska Background Check.
• Valid vehicle operator's license and a clean driving record.
• Current vehicle insurance meets the state minimum requirement.
• Working availability including evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist individual with daily living and care skills such as self-care, meal preparation, transportation, etc.
• Assist individual on accessing a variety of activities such as going out to eat, the movies, shopping, etc.
• Works with individual and family in a compassionate and understanding manner.
• Maintain positive and effective communication with all other staff members.
