This role champions company and division customer service programs to meet or exceed division customer service goals. The individual handles customer relations in a positive manner, including effective resolution of customer complaints, and promotes the company's philosophy of personalized service. Responsibilities include performing ordering, receiving, storing, pricing, stocking, rotating, and merchandising duties. The role assists the Grocery Manager and the Grocery Third Person in planning, organizing, and directing day-to-day operations of the Grocery Department, and helps implement company and division merchandising policies or store director instructions. This position is responsible for controlling shrink, preventing the sale of out-of-code product, and ensuring compliance with company sanitation, safety, security, and other policies, initiating corrective action as needed. The role involves opening and closing the store, and may act as a back-up cashier. Engaging in suggestive selling and other sales techniques is expected. The position is responsible for performing all job duties with accuracy, honesty, and integrity, along with other necessary and required duties and responsibilities as assigned.
