About The Position

This role champions company and division customer service programs to meet or exceed division customer service goals. The PIC handles customer relations in a positive manner, including effective resolution of customer complaints, and promotes the company's philosophy of personalized service. The position involves performing ordering, receiving, storing, pricing, stocking, rotating, and merchandising duties within the Grocery Department. The PIC assists the Grocery Manager and the Grocery Third Person in planning, organizing, and directing day-to-day operations. They also assist in implementing company and division merchandising policies and/or Store Director instructions, control shrink, and prevent the sale of out-of-code product. Ensuring compliance with company sanitation, safety, security, and other policies is crucial, with the ability to initiate corrective action as needed. This role includes opening and closing the store, potentially acting as a backup cashier, and engaging in suggestive selling and other sales techniques. The PIC is responsible for performing all job duties with accuracy, honesty, and integrity, along with other assigned duties.

  • Ability to properly stack, operate fully loaded hand trucks and pallet jacks.
  • Manual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination.
  • Mental alertness to ensure safe and accurate completion of work activities.
  • Ability to work at different times of the day and with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
  • May utilize cleaning supplies and chemicals and safety cutters.
  • Complies with all Company policies including attendance, grooming standards and dress code.
