About The Position

The Person in Charge (PIC) is responsible for overseeing store operations during assigned shifts and ensuring a safe, efficient, and customer-focused environment. The PIC serves as the acting leader of the store when senior management is not present and is responsible for supporting operational execution, customer service excellence, employee supervision, and compliance with company policies and procedures. Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee daily store operations during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure departments are operating efficiently and meeting company standards.
  • Monitor store conditions, including cleanliness, merchandising, product availability, and safety.
  • Coordinate store activities to ensure a smooth customer shopping experience.
  • Respond to operational issues and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Provide leadership and direction to store associates.
  • Communicate company objectives, priorities, and expectations to employees.
  • Delegate tasks and monitor completion to ensure operational goals are achieved.
  • Support employee development through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
  • Promote teamwork, engagement, and a positive working environment.
  • Foster a customer-first culture throughout the store.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns, complaints, and service issues in a professional manner.
  • Ensure associates provide courteous, prompt, and friendly service.
  • Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and store presentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, food safety requirements, and government regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address hazards immediately.
  • Maintain security procedures, including cash handling, key control, and incident reporting.
  • Serve as a resource during emergencies and respond according to established procedures.
  • Assist with cash management, balancing procedures, and audit compliance.
  • Monitor productivity and labor utilization throughout the shift.
  • Support inventory management processes, including receiving, shrink control, and stock replenishment.
  • Complete required reports, logs, and documentation accurately and on time.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures according to company standards.
  • Verify store readiness before opening and secure the facility at closing.
  • Ensure all operational and security requirements are completed during shift transitions.
