Under the general supervision of the Administrative Support Specialist, the Permit Technician I is responsible for assisting in the management of the front office assisting customers in person and by phone, as well as, issuing building permits and certificates of occupancy, scheduling inspections, processing financial transactions, and answering general building and development inquiries. The Permit Technician II is responsible for processing, reviewing, issuing, and tracking building permits; generating inspection requests; processing planning, development, and engineering projects; and answering general building and development inquiries with exceptional customer service and a dedication to public service.
