About The Position

The Fallbrook Union Elementary School District is recruiting for a Permit Preschool Teacher I. This role involves teaching an assigned class of preschool children, planning and organizing class activities, consulting with specialists, coordinating preschool assistants' activities, and attending staff meetings. The position is for a 10+ month employee calendar, with a work site at the Mike Choate Center. The work schedule is 8.0 hours per day, 5 days per week, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This position is open to all qualified candidates, but is specifically for internal FUESD employees only.

Requirements

• Valid California Child Development Teacher Permit
• First Aid/CPR certificate
• Resume
• Three (3) letters of recommendation (preferably within the last year and at least one from a direct supervisor)
• Certification (Current California Child Development Teacher Permit)
• Pediatrics CPR/First Aid Certification (OSHA Approved)
• Immunization record (Required by community care licensing)
• Valid California Drivers License
• Satisfactory completion of a pre-employment physical
• Satisfactory completion of a drug/alcohol-screening test
• Satisfactory completion of fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice and FBI
• Current verification of a negative T.B. test or x-ray

Nice To Haves

• One (1) year of paid or volunteer teaching experience in a licensed daycare nursery/preschool is desirable.
