About The Position

This position acts as the primary point of contact between the Circuit 9 dependency court system and FPOCF for all cases involving closed Permanent Guardianship. The role involves developing and managing a process to ensure that inactive cases with permanent guardians remain stable and have access to necessary services, working in conjunction with the courts and FPOCF operations and diversion staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Services related field
  • 1 year of experience in child welfare
  • Child Welfare Certification
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Word and FSFN.
  • Ability to analyze, integrate and report data.
  • Demonstrate cultural and linguistic competence & sensitivity to population served.
  • Ability to travel and appear in court.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize multiple tools (FSFN, FLEMMIS, CLEAR, CCIS) to locate guardians on closed cases identified by the courts.
  • Request updates on the child's educational and medical status and determine if services are needed.
  • Complete community referrals for children needing services.
  • Provide written reports and updates to the courts regarding case status and child well-being.
  • Attend scheduled court hearings to provide updates on efforts to locate families if a child cannot be found or is not with the approved guardian.
  • Staff cases with the assigned case management team if a case re-opens.
  • Act as a liaison between guardians needing intensive services and diversion and prevention programs.
  • Maintain monthly data regarding workload and other outcomes and output measures.
  • Interpret collected data for resource allocation, identification of service gaps, tracking service array usage, and performance of service providers.
  • Assist with diversion-related continuous quality assurance and improvement activities.
  • Attend and participate in relevant training and meetings.
  • Participate in the agency strategic plan & quality improvement processes, as needed.
  • Safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, & other federal, state, & local standards, including meeting qualitative & quantitative productivity standards.
  • Maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA & other federal, state, & local standards.
  • Comply with all personnel policies & procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service by being professional and respectful in all interactions.
  • Be timely and responsive in communication with others.
