Peritoneal (PD) Registered Nurse
About The Position
DaVita is seeking an organized, self-directed registered nurse to manage Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) patients. The role combines clinical care, patient education, and case management. The nurse educates patients and caregivers in the clinic so they can perform dialysis independently at home, manages a caseload, monitors treatment progress, conducts home visits, and provides on-call support. The nurse collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support safe, high-quality outcomes. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with 8-hour shifts and weekends and holidays off. Scheduling is flexible to allow the nurse to manage their own caseload.
Requirements
- RN license in the state of practice.
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Word and Outlook.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Dialysis experience, including PD, HHD, chronic, or acute dialysis.
- Patient education or teaching background.
- Case management or telehealth experience.
- CNN or CDN certification.
Responsibilities
- Train patients and caregivers on PD procedures and self-care.
- Manage a caseload of PD patients, including conducting assessments and developing care plans.
- Monitor treatment progress.
- Conduct home visits and provide on-call support.
