Perishable Warehouse Worker
About The Position
As a warehouse employee, you’ll accurately select cases and build pallets for store delivery, playing a key role in keeping shelves stocked and meeting customer demand. The role is suited to people who thrive in fast-paced, physical work. The posting allows applicants to be considered for multiple opportunities and asks them to provide as much availability as works with their schedule. The position is full time at the Rochester, New York location. Wegmans offers competitive pay with scheduled increases starting as soon as 90 days on the job, pay differentials for select positions, and opportunities for career growth throughout the organization. Full-time earning potential is listed as up to $35.65 per hour after three years on the job. Comprehensive safety training is provided to new employees and continues throughout the year; personal protective equipment and/or cold-weather gear is provided at no cost.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
Responsibilities
- Build and stack pallets to ensure product protection and safe delivery.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, including a forklift, pallet jack, and Vocollect.
- Effectively communicate with management and the team.
- Lift 20–25 pounds, with maximum weights greater than 50 pounds lifted occasionally to frequently.
