Perishable Warehouse Worker
About The Position
As a warehouse employee, you’ll accurately select cases and build pallets for store delivery, helping keep shelves stocked and meet customer demand. The role is suited to people who thrive in fast-paced, physical work. Wegmans offers opportunities to grow, flexible scheduling, and benefits. Pay is $20–$20.50 per hour, with scheduled increases starting as soon as 90 days on the job. Full-time earning potential may reach $35.65 per hour after three years on the job. Some positions receive a pay differential. Employees receive safety training and personal protective equipment and/or cold-weather gear at no cost.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Able to lift 20–25 pounds, with maximum weight lifted greater than 50 pounds occasionally to frequently.
Responsibilities
- Accurately select cases and build pallets for store delivery.
- Build and stack pallets to ensure product protection and safe delivery.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, including a forklift, pallet jack, and Vocollect.
- Effectively communicate with management and the team.
- Lift 20–25 pounds; maximum weight lifted is greater than 50 pounds occasionally to frequently.
