About The Position

As a Perioperative Support Tech, you will perform self-directed activities crucial for the efficiency and smooth operation of the perioperative area(s), contributing to a safe, sterile, and organized surgical environment. Every day you will inventory, disassemble, clean, reassemble, and maintain OR equipment, while assisting in maintaining a clean OR environment and transporting patients. All tasks will strictly adhere to Standard Precaution guidelines and safety standards. To be successful, you need exceptional attention to detail, a proactive approach to maintaining the perioperative environment, and a thorough understanding of safety protocols.

Requirements

High School GED
Minimum of five years experience in an OR Materiels Coordinator function
Knowledge and competency with computers and various software applications/technologies (Lawson preferred)
Demonstrates adherence to the Standards of Conduct Requirements.
Completes and turns in the SOC acknowledgement card.

Responsibilities

Inventory, disassemble, clean, reassemble, and maintain OR equipment.
Assist in maintaining a clean OR environment.
Transport patients.
Ensure only supplies and equipment required for Surgery related cases are ordered.
Order required supplies on a daily basis, utilizing Lawson RSS and HHT technologies.
Make adjustments to PAR Levels as necessary to maintain proper stocking levels to support Surgical volumes.
Perform periodic inventory of any consignment items and verify against consignment contract.
In coordination with OR staff, establish par levels for new supplies in all areas of the operating room and maintain Lawson for accuracy.
Prepare and coordinate OR annual inventory.
Fulfill compliance education requirements as directed by the Compliance Department or department management.
