About The Position

This role involves performing general cleaning tasks within and outside of patient rooms, ensuring instrumentation, supplies, and specialty equipment are delivered and available for scheduled procedures. The Perioperative Support Tech will deliver sterile supplies and equipment to the Operating Room. This position is for the 2nd Shift, which runs from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Tuesday through Saturday.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Relevant Work Experience
Less than 1 year of experience
Customer Service (Intermediate)
Sterilization Preparation (Fundamental Awareness)
Surgical Equipment Knowledge (Intermediate)

Responsibilities

Performs general cleaning tasks within and outside of patient rooms.
Ensures instrumentation, supplies, and specialty equipment is delivered and available for scheduled procedures.
Delivers sterile supplies and equipment to the Operating Room.
Responds to emergency calls or requests for cleaning services.
Assists in preparing patient rooms for procedures to include cleaning services, sanitation, removing supplies/equipment and transporting special equipment and supply needs based on AAMI standards.
May remove solid and/or biohazard trash.
