About The Position

The Perioperative Support Assistant will assist with patient care and help transport patients. You will assist with transport/assist in discharging patients. Also assist providers and other personnel as needed. Schedule: 32 hours/week across 4 days (Monday–Friday). Specific working days vary weekly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• BLS Certification

Responsibilities

• Support providers and other clinical personnel during the transition of patients during the surgical process and daily operations.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and properly stocked work area, including assisting with operating room (OR) turnover and cleaning/restocking supplies.
• Participate in quality assessment and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
• Assist with patient care and transport patients.
• Assist with transport and discharging patients.
• Assist providers and other personnel as needed.
