About The Position

Under the direction of the Director of Materials Management, this role works collaboratively with Materials Management and the leadership of the OR, Cath Lab, and IR departments to establish annual financial and operational goals and targets, and to develop business strategies and plans. The position involves interaction with vendors, departmental staff, nurses, physicians, department supervisors, and other professional and non-professional staff. Key responsibilities include inventory control and purchasing, local and corporate value analysis, bill only, consignment, financial analysis/reporting, annual budgeting, quality improvement, and representation for system initiatives. This role also supervises assigned personnel working within materials management and perioperative services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration, Nursing or Business required.
  • Healthcare business operations experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Experience in managing complex multi-million-dollar supply budgets and inventories.
  • Effective organizational, communication, and management skills.
  • Strong budgeting, financial analysis, and reconciliation experience.
  • Four years of progressively responsible professional experience performing business operations or perioperative services at a supervisory capacity.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills to work with staff, patients, various hospital supervisory, clinical staff, and outside agencies.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Health Care Administration, Health Services Administration, or Business Administration.
  • Five years’ experience in a perioperative business role.
  • Knowledge of computerized inventory systems.
  • Familiarity with applicable technology and systems used within Patient Care Services.

Responsibilities
