About The Position
Premier Periodontics provides comprehensive periodontal and implant care to patients in Lexington and throughout Central Kentucky. Requirements
- DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
- Certificate in Periodontics from a CODA-accredited residency program
- Active Kentucky dental license, or eligibility to obtain one
- Current DEA registration and CPR/BLS certification
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to excellent patient care
Nice To Haves
- Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Periodontology
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and develop treatment plans for periodontal disease and related conditions
- Perform surgical procedures, including dental implant placement, bone and soft tissue grafting, sinus lifts, crown lengthening, and gingival grafting
- Provide non-surgical therapy, such as scaling and root planing and periodontal maintenance oversight
- Administer local anesthesia
- Communicate and coordinate care with referring dentists and specialists
- Educate patients on treatment options, home care, and long-term oral health
- Maintain accurate clinical records and follow all OSHA, HIPAA, and state regulations
