About The Position

Nemours Children’s Health is seeking a Perinatal Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to join their growing team in Panama City, Florida. The Nemours Panama City Center for Fetal Care is an AIUM-certified practice seeking a full-time Perinatal Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to join an established MFM office. It is located in the medical office building on the campus of HCA Gulf Coast Hospital. The practice is equipped with up-to-date equipment and reporting software, an MFM Physician, and appropriate support staff including 2 full-time MFM sonographers, a nurse, RN-Operations Manager, and a certified genetic counselor. Perinatal coordinators assist with arranging fetal subspecialty consultations.

Requirements

• Florida APRN Licensure
• American Heart BLS
• 2-3 years of previous experience

Responsibilities

• Provide patient education visits, primarily for diabetic education including review of sugars and recommending adjustments to diabetic therapy as indicated. Other patient education topics may include the management of other types of therapies such as anti-coagulant treatment or other treatments as necessary for the patient’s care. Consult/collaborate with the MFM Physician as needed and as directed.
• Provide direct patient care by reviewing patient documents, interviewing patients, creating a plan-of-care, and documenting this in the EMR. Documentation is to be completed within 24-48 hours for Physician review. Collaborate directly with the Physician on a case-by-case basis as clinically necessary and as instructed by the Physician.
