About The Position

Houston Physicians Hospital is hiring a Full Time PeriOp Coordinator! Are you a skilled and compassionate PeriOp Coordinator seeking an extraordinary career opportunity at a state-of-the-art healthcare facility? Houston Physicians Hospital is currently seeking to hire a Perianesthesia Peri Op Coordinator! The purpose of the PeriOp Coordinator, under the supervision of the Perianesthesia Manager and/or designated member(s) of the surgical services patient care team, the PeriOp Coordinator performs a wide range of administrative and secretarial duties relative to the operation of the preoperative and postoperative departments. The PeriOp Coordinator ensures a professional and efficient operation of the department in providing quality patient care in the preparation of the patient for surgery. The PeriOp Coordinator will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide indirect care appropriate to the surgical patient population along with their family members and /or those that accompany the patient. As a PeriOp Coordinator, you will act as the HPH Liaison for select Physician offices.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• 1-2 years clerical or administrative experience in a healthcare setting
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Electronic medical record experience
• Computer knowledge: Microsoft
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced unit
• Flexibility to adapt to changes in work flow and volume

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree preferred
