About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Perfusionist for a travel contract opportunity supporting a high-acuity cardiovascular surgical program. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ECMO, cardiopulmonary bypass, emergent cardiac surgeries, and both adult and pediatric cardiac cases.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of Perfusion experience
- Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP/ABCP) required
- Current BLS and ACLS Certifications required
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field required
- Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
- Previous travel experience required (First-time travelers will not be considered)
Nice To Haves
- ECMO management, cannulation, and transport
- Adult, Pediatric, and Neonatal cardiac cases
- Cardiopulmonary Bypass (CPB)
- Emergent cardiac surgery experience
- CVOR, Pediatric CVOR, General OR, and Level 1 Trauma experience
Responsibilities
- Operate and manage cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) equipment during cardiac procedures
- Provide perfusion support for adult, pediatric, and neonatal cardiac surgeries
- Manage ECMO initiation, monitoring, cannulation support, and transport activities
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and CVOR teams during complex cardiac procedures
- Respond effectively during emergent cardiac and trauma cases
- Monitor patient physiological parameters and ensure optimal perfusion support
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation within the EMR system
- Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of perfusion equipment
- Follow all patient safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards
