Step into the Perfusion Department at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center and be a catalyst for life-saving clinical care. Our Perfusionist are a team to be known by many as one of the best perfusion school sites in the country, and it is recognized around the world for its innovative techniques—many of which have been peer-reviewed and published in major journals. The Operating Room Perfusionist assists in perfusions associated with surgical treatment at NYP and performs total circulatory, regional, and organ perfusions. In this role, you will provide extracorporeal circulation/cardiopulmonary support to patients until they’re able to maintain their own circulatory support. Be an ambitious team member, working alongside operating room professionals who are committed to correcting patients conditions as quickly and effectively as possible. Inject medications using a heart-lung machine. Perform ancillary duties, such as cell saving, ECMO, VAD, plasma saving and IABP.
