About The Position
Nuclear Medicine plays a key role in providing patients with accurate diagnostic and therapeutic testing, on a molecular level. Join the diverse and close-knit Nuclear Medicine team. Here, you will work with dynamic colleagues and in an in-patient and out-patient population. You'll be immersed in a full spectrum of diagnostic and therapeutic care while assisting with the evaluation of a wide range of medical conditions, from thyroid disorders to hypertension, heart disease, and pulmonary disorders.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology Program
- New York State Nuclear Medicine License from the Department of Health
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) CT post primary certification (ARRT(CT) or NMTCB(CT))
Nice To Haves
- Dual primary licensed technologist certified as Radiographer and Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Prior experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Prior experience working with GE & Siemens equipment
Responsibilities
- Handle, administer and dispose of sensitive radiopharmaceuticals.
- Perform quality control and follow aseptic technique standards to ensure patient and colleague safety.
- Use imaging equipment to acquire, process, and export a wide range of diagnostic studies.
- Obtain and distribute medical records as needed.
- Collaborate with leading radiology physicians to provide integrated and expert evaluation of each patient.
