As a Patient Care Director, you will lead a highly skilled, autonomous team of Radiology nurses, including CT, IR, INR, MRI, and Molecular Imaging dedicated to improving patient outcomes through innovative technologies and best practices. This hospital-wide service plays a vital role in delivering exceptional care across NewYork-Presbyterian. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) or related healthcare field if already hold a BSN
  • If currently pursuing a Master’s, degree must be obtained within one (1) year of hire
  • Either undergraduate or graduate degree must be in nursing
  • Current New York State RN license
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience

Nice To Haves

  • Radiology knowledge/experience
  • National board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
  • Proven leadership experience in a large academic medical center
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide frontline leadership and 24/7 accountability for patient care delivery
  • Oversee fiscal performance, resource allocation, staffing, scheduling, and staff evaluation
  • Set unit goals aligned with NYPH strategic initiatives
  • Plan, organize, direct, and monitor unit operations to ensure high-quality, cost-effective care
  • Evaluate staff performance, unit outcomes, and system effectiveness
  • Foster a professional, inclusive environment where staff and patients can achieve their fullest potential
