About The Position

Silver Dollar City is casting two children roles for An Old Time Christmas with commitment dates of October 21st - January 2nd. The roles available are Martha Cratchit, Bob Cratchit's oldest daughter, who is hard-working and doesn't want to disappoint her family, and Tiny Tim Cratchit, the youngest son of Bob and Emily Cratchit, who is a key character in Ebenezer Scrooge's redemption. To be considered for Tiny Tim's role, the applicant must be no more than 55 inches tall. Performers must apply and audition in person to be considered.

Requirements

• Must be less than 18 years of age.
• Must be able to sing and act.
• Must have completed an application to audition.
• Expressive abilities, poise, stage presence, and a feel for music are required.
• Singers with a strong belt in various styles including, but not limited to, pop, musical theatre, country, etc.
• Dancers with a strong background in Jazz, Tap, and Musical Theatre style.
• Strong improvisation skills.
• Able to communicate efficiently.
• The ability to lift and/or move 10 pounds frequently to 50 pounds maximum.
• The ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain, inclines, asphalt, and concrete continuously.
• The ability to perform choreographed actions related to performing frequently.
• The ability to remember locations and understand and carry out instructions frequently.
• The ability to work in extreme weather occasionally.

• To be considered for Tiny Tim's role, applicant must be no more than 55'' tall.

Responsibilities

• Rehearses parts to learn songs, dance routines, lines, and cues as directed.
• Applies make-up and wears a costume to change or enhance appearance and portrayal of character or role.
• Speaks lines from the script.
• Sings and dances as the role requires.
