Performance Test Engineer

We are seeking a Performance Test Engineer to join our team at Roadie, a UPS Company. As a Performance Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the release of high-quality code in a fast-paced CI/CD environment. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and executing load and performance testing, as well as monitoring and analyzing infrastructure performance. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of a performance test framework and create performance monitoring dashboards. To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with at least 2 years of experience in a QA Engineer role with a focus on performance testing. Strong programming skills in Python, Javascript, or Java/Groovy are required, and experience with Cloud and Kubernetes is preferred.

• Contribute to the design, development, and execution of load and performance testing
• Assist in the development of performance test framework for distributed executions
• Continually compare performance tests against production loads to ensure correct behavior
• Monitor and analyze infrastructure performance during testing runs to accurately estimate capacity requirements for normal and peak volumes
• Develop performance monitoring dashboard to find regressions and bottlenecks
• Design and build scripts that are flexible enough to change throughout a testing project quickly and efficiently with no or minimal impact to the project schedule
• Design and implement key customer performance simulation scripts to help project teams effectively simulate specific scenarios, allowing project teams to isolate and identify root causes for production problems
• Review complex infrastructure production metrics assisting with identification and isolation of performance or capacity related problems in production

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or comparable experience
• 2+ years experience in a QA Engineer role with a focus on performance testing
• Strong background with Python or Javascript or Java/Groovy
• Experience with Cloud and Kubernetes preferred
