Performance Marketer

Impact TheoryWest Hollywood, CA
$13,750 - $13,750Onsite

About The Position

Impact Theory is seeking a Performance Marketer to drive organic enrollment growth for Impact Theory University (ITU), their entrepreneurship education platform. This is a temporary, full-time role covering a team member's parental leave, expected to last approximately four months, with potential for extension or permanent conversion. The role focuses on converting an established audience into ITU members through social media (paid and organic), newsletters, and free webinars/masterclasses. The Performance Marketer will be responsible for writing copy, managing funnels, and owning the end-to-end numbers. This is a hands-on position for an autonomous individual who excels at writing and understanding unit economics, producing content and executing campaigns directly rather than managing a team or agency.

Requirements

  • 4+ years driving growth for a direct-to-consumer subscription, online education, info-product, or creator-led business, with personal ownership of an enrollment or revenue number.
  • Exceptional writing skills; ability to produce hooks, long-form social media text posts, newsletter copy, webinar scripts, and landing pages.
  • Hands-on experience running webinars or masterclasses as a conversion motion, with a clear point of view on what moves show-up rate and registration-to-enrollment conversion.
  • Working knowledge of email marketing: segmentation, lifecycle automation, and deliverability.
  • Practical understanding of organic distribution on LinkedIn.
  • Ability to write convincingly in another person's voice.
  • Comfort with unit economics: acquisition cost, LTV, payback period, and churn.
  • Proficiency with a CRM or marketing automation platform (HubSpot or equivalent), GA4, and spreadsheets; ability to pull and validate own data.
  • Availability to commit to the full duration of the temporary assignment.
  • Ability to work onsite, Monday through Friday at the West Hollywood location.

Nice To Haves

  • Paid acquisition experience (Meta, YouTube, Google) is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Own organic social strategy for long-form text posts and day-to-day execution across Impact Theory brand and founder accounts, including cadence, formats, hooks, and the path from post to email list to enrollment.
  • Identify existing content that drives enrollments and build repeatable distribution systems around it.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to shape content that serves ITU conversion.
  • Own the newsletter editorial calendar, list growth, segmentation, and deliverability.
  • Build and optimize nurture sequences to convert free subscribers to paying ITU members.
  • Own open rates, click rates, and email-attributed enrollment.
  • Own the full lifecycle of free webinars and masterclasses: topic selection, registration pages, promotional and reminder sequences, live experience, offer presentation, and replay windows.
  • Drive improvement in registration rate, show-up rate, and webinar-to-enrollment conversion.
  • Coordinate with Production, Product team, and talent on scheduling, prep, and delivery for webinars and masterclasses.
  • Own landing pages, lead magnets, checkout flow, and offer architecture across ITU's tiers.
  • Improve paid conversion, onboarding, churn reduction, and win-back.
  • Write and test direct-response copy across every stage of the funnel.
  • Write host-read scripts and ad copy for third-party advertisers on Impact Theory, Women of Impact, and Mayim Bialik's Breakdown properties.
  • Translate advertiser briefs, approved talking points, and brand guidelines into copy that matches the host's voice and holds audience attention.
  • Partner with Partnerships and Ad Operations on creative intake, approvals, and revision cycles, meeting campaign delivery deadlines.
  • Maintain UTM discipline and a source-of-truth reporting view across HubSpot, GA4, Stripe, PayPal, and PayKickstart.
  • Produce weekly and monthly reporting on enrollment, acquisition cost, LTV, and churn.
  • Surface risks and opportunities to leadership with clear recommendations.
  • Continue to scale profitable paid customer acquisition, tracking readiness, creative inventory, and target payback economics, and run small controlled tests to improve metrics.
  • Collaborate with the ITU Product Team to improve customer retention and marketing messaging.
  • Serve as the day-to-day marketing point of contact for Partnerships / Ad Sales.
  • Communicate proactively when timelines, assets, or approvals are at risk.
  • Document and continuously improve growth playbooks and SOPs.
  • Maintain clear, current documentation of campaigns, sequences, and reporting.
  • Deliver a structured handoff at the close of the coverage period, including active initiatives, performance baselines, and recommended next steps.

  • Competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
  • Life insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Flexible PTO policy.
