This role is ideally based out of our Fairlawn, OH office (hybrid); we may have the opportunity to consider qualifed candidates virtually, should they be close to another AJG office. Role Overview: The Manager, Benefits Advisory is responsible for managing client accounts, identifying and executing on benefit strategies, and ensuring quality delivery of services to the client. This individual is also responsible for client retention.

Requirements

Solid technical knowledge and experience working with Excel, Word and PowerPoint

This Performance Manager must be highly motivated and a self-starter.
This individual needs to possess strong client service skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and be detail oriented.
The individual must be able to manage time-sensitive projects and multiple priorities.
To perform the position, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience
Prior experience with benefit plans, ERISA and/or healthcare required.
Minimum of 5-7 years working in a benefits or similar capacity
Experience includes account management, identifying benefit strategies, leading and managing in a team-based environment, and managing relationships with various partners in the benefits industry.

Nice To Haves

Preference will be given to individuals who have completed the CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) or have obtained their life and health insurance license.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with senior benefits consultants in the development, communication, and deployment of benefits-related solutions, and with other client team members in the development of integrated deliverables.
Use benefits subject matter expertise and understanding of practice solutions to identify opportunities to provide additional value to clients.
Prepare and monitor the success of project plans, effectively keeping client team members apprised of project status and introducing appropriate interventions or activities to keep the timeline, quality, and deliverables on track.
Participate in client meetings as requested and anticipate client needs and questions
