About The Position

Georgia-Pacific Consumer Manufacturing Group is seeking a Performance Leader - Converting to drive operational excellence and team engagement in our converting operations supporting our Consumer Products Operation located in Muskogee, OK. The Muskogee facility uses integrated technology to manufacture tissue, towel, and napkin products in a progressive production environment. The Performance Leader plays a pivotal role in coaching and leading production teams to achieve safety, quality, efficiency, and cost objectives while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. This position focuses on aligning team performance with business priorities through effective leadership, problem-solving, and process optimization.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a manufacturing, converting, industrial or military environment
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to manage, motivate and develop a team
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Willing and able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or higher in Operations Management, Engineering, Paper Science or related field
  • Experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
  • Strong understanding of converting, paper and/or pulp processes and equipment

  • Ensure compliance with Georgia-Pacific policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to proactively address hazards
  • Ensure converting processes meet product quality specifications and customer expectations
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to implement corrective actions for quality concerns
  • Drive consistency and adherence to operating procedures to maintain high-quality standards
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for safety, quality, and productivity
  • Analyze data and provide actionable insights to improve operational outcomes
  • Prepare and present performance reports to facility leadership
  • Oversee workforce scheduling, equipment utilization, and material flow to meet production goals efficiently
  • Collaborate with maintenance and reliability teams to ensure equipment readiness and minimal downtime
