About The Position

LifeGift is seeking a Performance Improvement Coordinator to support the organization's efforts to enhance clinical and operating performance through diverse projects and high reliability initiatives. This role involves exposure to operations management in both organ and tissue departments, collaboration with internal and external departments, and the application of lean performance improvement methodology and project management. The coordinator will ensure work aligns with lean philosophy and principles, support PI events and projects, analyze data, create data displays, and collaborate with various stakeholders to develop monitoring and reporting methods for process improvement. Additionally, the role includes assisting in the development of presentations, analyzing opportunities for improvement, recommending and implementing solutions, executing time studies and process observations, and providing leadership to tiger teams for evaluating and diagnosing improvements.

Requirements

  • Degree in a work-related field/discipline from an accredited college or university and a strong academic record or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in healthcare QAPI field or other appropriate work experience for performance improvement.

  • Prefer experience with Performance Improvement projects.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure work is completed using lean philosophy and principles.
  • Support the planning, set-up, execution, and follow-up of PI events and projects.
  • Assist in writing reports, analyzing data, creating and interpreting data displays to support decisions on PI projects.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, management, client groups, and others engaged in improvement initiatives to develop methods to monitor and report process improvement.
  • Assist with developing presentations and documents that articulate a compelling story line through the effective use of data.
  • Assist in the analysis and identification of opportunities for improvement with a goal to develop, recommend, and implement proposed solutions.
  • Execute time studies, process observations and other information gathering activities that support PI decision-making.
  • Provide leadership to tiger teams by evaluating, diagnosing, and recommending improvements in a collaborative manner via multiple short and long duration projects.
