About The Position

Ensemble Schools is seeking an experienced Performance Company Lead and Dance Instructor for Production Company Dance Centre in Longmont, CO. This role involves leading a community-focused performance program where students learn routines and perform at local venues and community events. The ideal candidate is high-energy, organized, responsible, comfortable communicating with clients, and capable of choreographing, cleaning, and rehearsing routines independently. Experience with parade-style choreography, dance teams, or poms is a plus. The position offers opportunities for growth, teacher training, and private lessons. PCDC aims to develop both technical dance skills and essential life skills in students.

Requirements

Passionate dance instructor with experience working with children.
High-energy and engaging with kids of all ages.
Organized, responsible, and comfortable communicating with community venues and clients.
Able to choreograph, clean, and rehearse routines independently.
Comfortable working with a wide range of skill levels (beginner through teen).
Experienced in music editing/cutting.
Commitment for the entire season (August 17th through June 2027).

Nice To Haves

Experience with parade-style choreography.
Dance team or poms experience.

Responsibilities

Lead a community-focused performance program.
Teach students to learn one routine in the fall and one in the spring.
Prepare students to perform at local venues and community events.
Choreograph, clean, and rehearse routines independently.
Teach Hip Hop Foundations, Performance Company (Seniors, Juniors, Minis), Acro Foundations, Ballet & Jazz I, and Poms classes.
Conduct Performance Company rehearsals during summer months.
Potentially teach private lessons and masterclasses.
Contribute to developing life skills in students beyond dance technique.
