About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Vice President of ZoeLife, the Performance Center Specialist will assist in maintaining the overall day-to-day running of the Performance Center. The specialist must be able to fluently communicate in or to take or give direction or guidance in the English language. The Performance Center Specialist will have knowledge of the practices and procedures in fitness training and possess strong written and oral communication skills and be able to understand written and oral instructions. The role requires effectiveness in establishing and maintaining rapport with staff, residents, outside vendors, and clients. A genuine interest in and concern for geriatric, chronically ill, and/or disabled persons is essential.

Requirements

  • Ability to fluently communicate in or to take or give direction or guidance in the English language.
  • Knowledge of the practices and procedures in fitness training.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to understand written and oral instructions.
  • Effective in establishing and maintaining rapport with staff, residents, outside vendors, and clients.
  • Genuine interest in and concern for geriatric, chronically ill, and/or disabled persons.
  • Regular attendance is considered essential.

Responsibilities

  • Opening, closing and securing the facilities.
  • Monitoring access to the Performance Center.
  • Greeting newcomers and helping them prepare for their assessment, answering inquiries, and providing a welcoming environment.
  • Coordinating and executing beta groups for residents and employees.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of basic exercise routines and monitoring residents' progress through training, including setup and support of trainers.
  • Regularly sanitizing all equipment, the Performance Center, and the University classroom.
  • Managing cleanliness and sales of products in the juice bar, ensuring inventory is ordered, stocking and maintaining supplies, preparing smoothies, and properly setting up product displays for sales.
  • Managing and assisting residents with virtual reality equipment and programs.
  • Performing back-end software implementation and maintenance of related performance center apps.
  • Maintaining a daily Performance Center log.
  • Acting as a concierge for guests participating in the PIP and PIP Golf programs.
  • Recording attendance and managing registration for University room lectures.
  • Managing communication, including emails, phone calls, and prompt response to voicemails.
  • Assisting in the preparation of packets, letters, and flyers.
  • Coordinating the resident volunteer program.
  • Managing and tracking resident certification requirements for graduation of the Glencroft University program and volunteer hours.
  • Organizing and maintaining files in a confidential manner.
  • Supporting and participating in the ZoeLife marketing and editorial committee.
  • Assisting marketing in all social and digital marketing efforts related to ZoeLife and CFMA.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
