About The Position

Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional drum/percussion instructor to teach part-time for their Lake Forest, CA school, Glee Music Academy. The position is for in-person instruction at the studio. Teachers can set their availability within open hours, with preference given to candidates with greater availability. Currently, there is a part-time schedule available from a departing teacher, Wednesdays-Saturdays from 2:30 PM to 7:00 PM. The role requires teaching beginner to advanced percussion, with an emphasis on Drum Set. Additional hours and days may be available. Experience working with younger students and neurodivergent students is preferred. The ability to teach other instruments is a plus. Successful candidates will have a strong music background, evidenced by a degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience. They should also demonstrate a love of teaching, experience with young musicians, punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a background check. Instructor pay ranges from $32-$36 per hour. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available after 30 days, and health benefit packages are offered to both part-time and full-time employees.

Requirements

• Strong music background, evidenced by a degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience.
