About The Position
The percussion coach will work with the band directors teaching students percussion specific techniques in both concert band and marching band settings.
Requirements
- High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
- Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree
- DCI/WGI performer experience preferred
- Experience teaching marching and concert percussion in classroom and marching band settings
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Racially conscious and culturally competent with the skill, will, capacity, and knowledge to commit to a culture of continuous improvement
Responsibilities
- Teach students percussion specific techniques in the concert band and marching band settings
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
