Requirements

  • 1-year experience in an office environment
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft applications preferred
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent phone presence, etiquette and professionalism
  • Communicate effectively and tactfully with persons on all levels (in person, email and phone)
  • Outgoing, friendly, and sensitive to the needs of people
  • Must be able to multi-task while remaining flexible with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of all basic office equipment required
  • Must be able to function independently, work effectively with a wide variety of individuals, and maintain confidentiality of client information
  • Culturally sensitive and able to work with a multicultural client/customer population
  • Must pass a criminal background check (Live Scan fingerprinting) prior to beginning employment

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in both written and spoken Russian and English highly desired
  • Experience with basic data entry is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet and direct visitors with a warm welcome
  • Manage the front desk reception area, including answering phone calls and assisting visitors, clients, and customers
  • Provide reception support and translation assistance at the Plummer Park front desk, as needed
  • Receive drop-in visitors and provide general directions, information, and assistance
  • Screen visitors, telephone calls, and mail for program staff, giving information where judgment, knowledge, confidentiality, and interpretation of policies and procedures are necessary
  • Manage client appointment schedules
  • Use the client information management system to enter, update, and maintain accurate client information, as needed
  • Remain informed about current WHCSC programs, events, services, and activities
  • Familiar with the daily schedule for the entire building provided by the Park Office
  • Maintain cooperative working relationships with WHCSC staff, Park Office staff, and community partners
  • Provide backup support for WHCSC office support staff when needed
  • Other related duties as assigned
