The successful candidate will utilize clinical expertise to plan and deliver safe, therapeutic, and population-specific patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. With a patient and family-centered approach, the nurse will incorporate unique patient and family characteristics and needs into care delivery. Collaboration within a multidisciplinary Healthcare team is essential to promote wellness and optimize patient outcomes. The role also includes leadership responsibilities such as orienting, mentoring, and managing team members to ensure quality care is delivered with compassion, dignity, respect, and efficiency. Participation in unit, departmental, and/or institutional performance improvement initiatives impacting patient, family, and service outcomes, based on professional practice standards, is also expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required for employees hired after 9/1/2020 (those who were hired prior to 9/1/2020 are grandfathered).
  • Current and valid New York State Registered Professional Nurse license.
  • Current and valid BLS certification.
  • Knowledge of standards of practice for all areas of patient care.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • 1 - 2 years Nursing experience.
  • Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develops a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes.
  • Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or situation.
