General Role Description: A Per Diem Polysomnographic Technologist II works under the general supervision of the clinical director (MD, DO, or PhD) or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education. A Per Diem Polysomnographic Technologist II can perform the duties defined for a Polysomnographic Technician and may provide supervision of other staff. You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Successful completion of an accredited educational program with an emphasis in polysomnography.
- 1 year in sleep lab setting
- Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent.
- CPR certification
Nice To Haves
- Associates Degree
- 2 years experience in a sleep lab setting
- Experience with Pediatric population.
- Experience performing EEG studies
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
