We seek a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician/Delivery Driver to support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. Pharmacy Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 4:30pm (Lunch 12:30pm – 1pm) Schedule: Per Diem working on a need basis covering PTO, callouts and other business needs. Location hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm with lunch from 12:30pm to 1:00pm Location: 708 Magazine St. Louisville, KY

Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Iowa
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Ability to use your own car to make deliveries
  • Access to reliable transportation & valid US driver's license
  • Ability to work onsite at 1527 Albia Road, Suite P, Ottumwa, IA, 52501
  • Ability to work on an as needed basis covering PTO, callouts and other business needs

  • Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience

Responsibilities

  • Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
  • Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
  • Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
  • Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
  • Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
  • Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
  • Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
  • Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Coordinate delivery routes
  • Provide timely and accurate completion of deliveries in an efficient and courteous manner
  • Verify receipt and provide signature for receipt of items delivered
  • Process any required paperwork according to established procedures
  • Vehicle maintenance
  • Return attempted deliveries to pharmacy according to pharmacy policies
  • Other duties as assigned
