About The Position

Join the team at Columbia/NewYork-Presbyterian Advanced Imaging (CNYPAI) - a collaboration that unites the academic excellence of Columbia University with the world-class clinical resources of NewYork-Presbyterian. CNYPAI delivers advanced outpatient Radiology and Imaging services, including MRI and PET/CT, supported by cutting-edge technology and some of the most respected experts in the field. As a PET CT Technologist, we’ll depend on you to handle, prepare, administer and dispose of sensitive radiopharmaceuticals. You’ll perform quality control and follow aseptic technique standards to ensure patient and colleague safety. You’ll obtain and distribute medical records as needed, while collaborating with leading radiology physicians to provide integrated and expert evaluation of each patient. This is a per diem position - shifts will vary.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology Program - A.S. or B.S. Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • New York State Nuclear Medicine License from the Department of Health with contrast injection
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (N) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT (CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board CT (NMTCB (CT)) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) if candidate does not have (ARRT)(CT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R)(MR)
  • New York State Department of Health Diagnostic Radiography License with contrast
  • Previous experience in PET/CT, PET/CT Cardiology and research
  • Prior experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist IV insertion/Isotope injection
