About The Position

Hands At Home Care Services is seeking compassionate and reliable caregivers to join their team as Per Diem Personal Support Specialists (PSS). This role offers increased pay, flexible hours, and weekly pay, with opportunities to pick up shifts that fit your schedule. As Maine's trusted provider of high-quality, non-medical home care, they are urgently looking for certified PSS staff to meet immediate client needs. The position involves assisting clients with non-medical home care services, including personal care, mobility support, meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, and transportation assistance. This role is ideal for caregivers who enjoy variety and building relationships with multiple clients, with options for short-term commitments or permanent placement with a client.

Requirements

At least one year of caregiving experience preferred
PSS Certified (assistance provided for certification)
Valid driver's license preferred
Reliable transportation preferred
Ability to successfully pass a background screening
Ability to safely assist clients with mobility and lift up to 50 pounds when necessary
Current immunization documentation, including MMR, Varicella, and annual influenza vaccination records

Nice To Haves

Experience in home care, assisted living, memory care, or skilled nursing settings is a plus
