About The Position

Hands At Home Care Services is seeking compassionate and reliable certified PSS (Personal Support Specialist) staff for per diem roles. This position offers increased pay, flexible hours, and weekly pay with a next-day pay option. The role involves providing non-medical home care to clients, assisting with personal care, mobility, meal preparation, housekeeping, companionship, and transportation. The position is ideal for caregivers seeking flexibility, with opportunities to pick up shifts as desired. While the initial commitment is short-term to help clients get started, there are options to transition to permanent caregiving roles or remain per diem. The company serves clients throughout Portland and nearby communities, requiring travel within the service area with mileage reimbursement.

Requirements

At least one year of caregiving experience preferred
PSS Certified (No Certificate? No worries we will help you in getting your PSS)
Experience in home care, assisted living, memory care, or skilled nursing settings is a plus
Valid driver's license preferred
Reliable transportation preferred
Ability to successfully pass a background screening
Ability to safely assist clients with mobility and lift up to 50 pounds when necessary
Current immunization documentation, including MMR, Varicella, and annual influenza vaccination records
Dependable and punctual
Compassionate and patient
Comfortable adapting to changing schedules and assignments
Strong communicators
Team-oriented and willing to assist where needed
Committed to providing high-quality care and customer service
