Vassar Per Diem Midwife
About The Position
Vassar Brothers Medical Center of Northwell Health is seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife or Certified Midwife to join their team as the regional midwife director. They are building a team of 7 midwives providing full-scope midwifery care in the office and in the hospital alongside 2 full-time outpatient only midwives. This role offers the opportunity to help grow and shape a practice as the leader of the midwifery group. The team is a collaborative Midwife/OB-GYN team providing care to a diverse patient population that draws from multiple counties in the Hudson Valley. The location is conveniently located approximately 75 minutes north of New York City with direct access via the Metro-North train line.
Requirements
- RN license and Master’s degree required
- Graduate of an approved Certified Nurse Midwife program
- Current certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)
- State of NY RN, Certified Nurse Midwife license, NY State Controlled Substance and Federal DEA Registration required
- 2+ years CNM experience required
