About The Position
As an academic medical center with a rich history of providing life-saving treatment in Southern Nevada, UMC serves as the anchor hospital of the Las Vegas Medical District, offering Nevada’s highest level of care to promote successful medical outcomes for patients. We are home to Nevada's ONLY Level I Trauma Center, Designated Pediatric Trauma Center, Burn Care Center, and Transplant Center. We are a Pathway Designated facility by ANCC, and we are on our journey to Magnet status. This role is responsible for creating a safe and welcoming environment for hospital patients, visitors, and family members. The concierge acknowledges, greets and assists visitors, and interacts in a courteous and helpful manner with patients, families, guests and hospital staff to convey a positive first impression. They serve as a liaison between patient, family and clinical staff, and seek a satisfactory and expedited solution to complaints, problems, or special needs.
Requirements
- Equivalent to graduation from high school.
- One (1) year of customer service experience in a hospital or hospitality industry.
- Open availability to work various hours including days, nights, and weekends with short time notice.
- Current UMC employee.
