The Northeast Independent Living Program, Inc. (NILP) is seeking a per diem ADA Accessible Van Driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for older adults and people with disabilities. The driver will transport consumers to and from NILP offices, partner organizations, medical appointments, shopping, Independent Living (IL) activities, and other approved destinations throughout the Lawrence area and, as needed, across Northeast Massachusetts. This is a per diem position with work scheduled based on program needs. Whenever possible, advance notice of workdays and hours will be provided. Typical agency hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A valid Massachusetts Class D driver's license is required. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the safe, courteous, and efficient operation of NILP's ADA-accessible passenger van while providing excellent customer service to consumers. The Van Driver is also responsible for helping maintain the vehicle in a clean, safe, and operational condition and carrying out assigned duties in a manner that supports the efficiency and effectiveness of NILP's transportation services.
