About The Position

The Per Diem Clinician will conduct clinical assessments with students to evaluate the seriousness of presenting problems and develop appropriate treatment plans. This role involves providing students with short-term psychotherapy, conducting group therapy, and offering referrals for long-term treatment. The clinician will also conduct risk assessments, manage high-risk situations, utilize crisis intervention skills, and provide referrals and concrete resources. Additionally, the position requires coordinating outreach activities for the student population, conducting workshops, consulting with faculty and school administrators, and responding to the special needs of students. This is a fully remote position, requiring 14 hours per week.

Requirements

  • LCSW, PsyD, PhD in social work or psychology
  • Experience working with diverse student populations
  • Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and experience working with diverse populations
  • NY State license or eligibility (limited permit)

Nice To Haves

  • Post-graduate experience in crisis response, college mental health, short-term counseling, and group therapy
