About The Position

Join the Spiritual Care team at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, a 591-bed hospital affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical College, where we are dedicated to providing the highest quality, most compassionate care to patients. This is a per-diem rotating shift schedule including weekends/holidays, located at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. In this role, the Chaplain ministers to patients, their families and staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Enrollment in or completion of one unit of CPE.
• If ordained, must be in good standing with the ordaining religious body, evidenced by official endorsement or letter of good standing from a denominational official.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate theological education or Masters' degree in a related field.
• Four units of ACPE.
• Actively working toward certification by a certifying body recognized by the Spiritual Care Collaborative such as APC (Association for Professional Chaplains), NAJC (National Association of Jewish Chaplains), etc, or appropriate equivalency approved by the corporate Director of Pastoral Care & Education.
