Per Diem Cardiac Echo Technologist - Beverly Hills
About The Position
Performs echocardiograms and exercise stress echocardiograms of a non-invasive nature in accordance with established practices and procedures. Provides expert assessment, evaluation and prepares preliminary interpretation and documentation for cardiologist’s review. Applies knowledge of anatomy, physiology, positioning and imaging techniques to optimize the quality of ultrasound images. Works collaboratively with the clinical team to promote wellness and optimize patient outcomes and quality care. Assists in the proper functioning of the cardiovascular lab including, but not limited to, maintaining clean equipment and re-stocking the lab with supplies, as necessary. This role will be performed independently with minimal supervision. Requires troubleshooting technology issues that arise as needed. Perform vital sign monitoring and assessment. Maintains daily log of patient procedures. Performs variety of ad-hoc duties as necessary. Experienced with Phillips Ultrasound machines is a plus but not required.
Requirements
- Active RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) through ARDMS or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) through CCI.
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program.
- A minimum of 5+ years of clinical cardiac experience.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Must maintain the required CMEs to keep credentials active and in good standing with accrediting bodies.
- Recognized as a technical expert in cardiac anatomy, hemodynamics, and pathology.
- Exceptional ability to manage department resources, staffing levels, and supply inventory.
- Strong verbal and written skills necessary for detailed technical reporting and professional collaboration with the Chief of Cardiology.
- Ability to remain calm and precise during emergency "Code Blue" situations or in the ICU/OR environment.

Nice To Haves
- Proven experience in a "Charge," "Lead," or Senior capacity is highly preferred.
- ACLS preferred.
- Experienced with Phillips Ultrasound machines is a plus but not required.
