About The Position

Admiral Beverage is seeking a Merchandising Manager/Supervisor to display beverage merchandise on shelves, showcases, and on the sales floor of retail stores. This role is responsible for follow-up on scheduled merchandise bookings, training new employees to meet company goals, maintaining employee schedules, analyzing needs for upcoming promotions and assigning personnel, and performing scheduled maintenance and repair of permanent point of sale in retail accounts. The position also involves maintaining the area with current point of sale materials, printing marketing materials, price cards, and banners, and ensuring understanding and compliance with all company quality assurance guidelines, policies, and state laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and resolving complaints.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must meet company driver qualifications.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to perform basic functions of math in all units of measure and formats and to interpret rate, ratio, percent, and graphs.
  • Must have experience and knowledge of Microsoft Excel or similar applications.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Responsibilities

  • Displays beverage merchandise on shelves, showcases, and on sales floor of retail store.
  • Responsible for follow-up on scheduled merchandise booking secured by Sales Department personnel.
  • Responsible for training all new employees in the department to meet company goals and objectives.
  • Maintains schedule for employees within the department.
  • Analyzes needs for upcoming company merchandising and sales promotions and assigns necessary personnel to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for scheduled maintenance and repair of permanent point of sale in retail accounts.
  • Maintenance of area for current and up to date point of sale.
  • Responsible for printing marketing materials, price cards and banners for retail accounts at request of Sales Department personnel.
  • Responsible understanding and compliance with all company quality assurance guidelines.
  • Responsible for adhering to all company policies and state laws and regulations.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing and hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
