About The Position

Support enterprise financial systems within a statewide ERP environment, focusing on CAPPS Financials and related systems. This role provides advanced technical consulting, application support, and service desk oversight while ensuring compliance with enterprise standards, accessibility requirements, and system development lifecycle processes. The position collaborates with vendors, technical teams, and business stakeholders to maintain stable, secure, and efficient operations across multiple agencies.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of experience supporting Texas state government systems
  • 10 or more years of experience supporting enterprise application systems
  • 10 or more years of experience in technical project management and strategic planning
  • 10 or more years of experience preparing and presenting to executive stakeholders
  • 10 or more years of experience supporting CAPPS Financials or similar ERP systems
  • 10 or more years of experience interpreting contracts and managing vendor deliverables
  • 10 or more years of experience with data integration, data quality, and SDLC methodologies
  • 10 or more years of experience with PeopleSoft FSCM or HCM, PeopleTools, PeopleCode, SQL, PS Query, SQR, and Application Engine
  • 10 or more years of experience with Oracle databases
  • Experience supporting large multi-agency ERP deployments
  • 8 or more years of experience with IT service desk functions and ITIL frameworks
  • 3 or more years of experience supporting BOSSDesk or similar ITIL-compliant service desk tools
  • Strong ERP systems expertise and enterprise application support capabilities
  • Ability to analyze complex system architectures and identify improvement opportunities
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and executive stakeholders
  • Strong incident management and troubleshooting abilities
  • High attention to governance, compliance, and accessibility standards
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in large-scale environments
  • Strong documentation and process discipline

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and oversight for CAPPS Financials and related systems
  • Ensure vendor deliverables meet CAPPS requirements, standards, and SDLC processes
  • Review and validate functional and technical designs for system enhancements
  • Support system stability across multi-agency ERP environments
  • Analyze business processes and workflows to evaluate ERP design alignment
  • Review functional specifications and integration documents to identify risks and gaps
  • Evaluate dependencies and ensure architectural consistency across systems
  • Provide technical feedback during design walkthroughs and validation sessions
  • Review developed code for adherence to enterprise standards and requirements
  • Support system and integration testing including scenario development and validation
  • Participate in disaster recovery and upgrade testing activities
  • Ensure system enhancements meet performance, security, and data quality expectations
  • Maintain and support ITIL-compliant service desk applications such as BOSSDesk
  • Configure and administer service desk tools to meet organizational needs
  • Provide Level 2 support including troubleshooting complex incidents and root cause analysis
  • Manage integrations, API support, and system monitoring activities
  • Support ticket management for system issues including interfaces, batch processing, and connectivity
  • Participate in major incident management processes for critical issues
  • Maintain system documentation and knowledge repositories
  • Collaborate with vendor teams for issue resolution and system support
  • Ensure all systems comply with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards
  • Manage accessibility waivers, testing coordination, and remediation tracking
  • Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory requirements
  • Support SOC-1 audit activities and controls validation
  • Support data integration and interface management across multiple systems
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and consistency across environments
  • Assist with reporting, data analysis, and operational insights
  • Support evolving system integrations and platform changes
