About The Position

Asseti is the category-defining platform for asset intelligence and operations, used by some of the world’s largest real estate owners to understand their assets, optimise portfolio performance, and make smarter operational, maintenance, and capital decisions. We turn complex, fragmented asset information into a single source of truth - combining real-time condition insights with the operational context needed to prioritize work, manage risk, and drive efficient action across large property networks. Asseti automates condition detection, triage, repair prioritization, and cost forecasting at scale. We streamline asset operations by enabling teams to identify issues, understand impact, coordinate responses, and measure improvement - all within one unified platform. We’re building the intelligence and operational backbone that helps leading organizations run their assets with clarity, consistency, and confidence.

We’ve built a strong team and a fast-moving culture. What we haven’t built yet is a dedicated people and talent function, and that’s where you come in. This is our first dedicated people hire. You’ll own how we find, hire, onboard, and support great people across four countries and multiple time zones. You’ll take what currently runs across founders, managers, and spreadsheets and turn it into a clear, reliable, and scalable operation. If you want to build a function rather than maintain one, and you get energy from both landing great hires and bringing order to complexity, this is the role.

Requirements

• 4+ years in People, HR, or Talent roles, with meaningful hands-on experience in both recruiting and HR operations
• A track record of full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing and closing candidates for technical or commercial roles
• Hands-on experience running payroll and benefits administration
• Experience supporting employees or hiring in more than one country, or working with PEO/EOR providers
• Solid working knowledge of US employment law and HR compliance
• A strong process and systems mindset, with experience managing an ATS and HRIS
• Clear, warm communication, sound judgment on sensitive matters, and the ability to sell the opportunity to top candidates
• Comfort working autonomously, prioritizing across competing needs, and building from scratch

Nice To Haves

• Experience as the first or only people hire at a startup or scale-up
• Recruiting for engineering, product, or enterprise sales roles in SaaS
• Hiring in Australia, South Africa, or other regions, or familiarity with employment practices there
• Experience with Workable
• SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent certification

Responsibilities

• Own talent and people operations end to end across all regions.
• Workforce planning with leadership.
• Sourcing and closing candidates.
• Building a recruiting engine that consistently brings in high-caliber people across engineering, product, go-to-market, and operations.
• Onboarding.
• HR policies and compliance.
• Payroll and benefits administration.
• HR systems.
• Employee records.
• Run searches yourself, do the operational work, and build the processes that make both repeatable.
• Know when to bring in external partners such as agencies, PEOs, EORs, payroll providers, and employment counsel.
• Work closely with the CEO and leadership team.
• Own full-cycle recruiting across all regions, from intake and sourcing through to offer and close.
• Partner with leadership on hiring plans and headcount priorities as we scale.
• Proactively source passive candidates through LinkedIn, networks, referrals, and targeted outreach, especially for hard-to-fill technical and commercial roles.
• Build a structured, consistent interview process with hiring managers, including scorecards and interview kits in Workable.
• Own the candidate experience and represent Asseti’s employer brand in every interaction.
• Manage agency and recruiter relationships when needed, keeping costs disciplined.
• Track and report on recruiting metrics such as pipeline health, time to hire, offer acceptance, and source quality.
• Run day-to-day HR ops across the US, and support other regions, including employee records, contracts, and lifecycle changes.
• Own payroll and benefits administration, working with Finance to make sure everyone is paid accurately and on time.
• Design and run a consistent onboarding and offboarding experience that works across locations and time zones.
• Write, update, and maintain HR policies and an employee handbook that is compliant locally and consistent globally.
• Manage our HRIS and people tools, keeping data clean and reporting reliable.
• Stay on top of employment law and compliance requirements in each country, and manage relationships with external advisors.
• Support managers with performance cycles, employee relations matters, and day-to-day people questions.
